Shift Forward Training Course (Formerly Respect in Sport - Parent Course)

All minor hockey players need to have at least one parent who has taken either the Respect In Sport - Parent (RIS-P), or the new Shift Forward Training courses and have their course certificate linked to the player profile in HCR Sprodle.

Starting in 2026-2027, All hockey players who have not had a parent complete the RIS-P must take the new Shift Forward Training (which now replaces RIS-P)

This is mandatory and a requirement of Hockey Canada.   Without this course, your child will not be able to take the ice to start the season.

This course will be released in April 2026 and more information will be released to assist you.
